OUR PROJECTS
IraQueer is the leading Iraqi LGBT+ organization. We passionately defend and advocate for the LGBT+ community to make meaningful social and political change that enables LGBT+ citizens to live in an Iraq where everyone is recognized and protected. To achieve this goal, we focus our efforts on the following areas:

Credit Card Donations

Capacity Building
IraQueer offers trainings in a wide range of topics. By relying on our team's experience of more than ten years and advanced academic experience, IraQueer wants to empower other organizations, governments, companies, and other groups to grow their humanitarian efforts and be inclusive of LGBT+ people in their advocacy and policy efforts. We can give trainings in the following topics: 
  • Gender and Sexuality.
  • National and International Advocacy and Lobbying for LGBT+ Rights.
  • Safety and Security.

Capacity Building
We organize workshops for non-profits, government officials, companies, and other groups that are interested in human rights of LGBT+ individuals. Trainings can be held in Arabic, Kurdish, or English.
Meetings and Statements
We partake in events and meetings to speak about the state of human rights of LGBT+ people in Iraq, and put pressure on national and international governments to make necessary changes to protect LGBT+ citizens in Iraq.
