Through impactful media campaigns, cross-learning partnerships with regional NGOs, and a dedicated mentorship program, IraQueer fosters visibility, resilience, and leadership within the community. These initiatives not only combat harmful stereotypes but also cultivate a stronger, more connected network of advocates for LGBT+ rights.
Safety and Security Guide
Developed and distributed a comprehensive guide to help LGBT+ individuals navigate Iraq's hostile legal and social environment. This resource provided actionable strategies for personal security and legal awareness, enabling community members to safeguard themselves against threats.

Implemented a mentorship program to train emerging activists in leadership, advocacy, and security. In 2024, five mentees participated in intensive training sessions, culminating in community-led workshops. These workshops strengthened community resilience by empowering activists to lead initiatives and address pressing issues facing the LGBT+ community. |

Produced and disseminated a range of media content, including blogs, radio episodes, and social media campaigns, to combat harmful stereotypes and increase visibility. These efforts aimed to reshape public narratives and raise awareness of LGBT+ rights and issues.
